What we collect through matterwire.io, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

01Who we are

Matterwire by Crawlify operates matterwire.io. Matterwire is the public affairs and advocacy vertical of Crawlify, built by Xillentech. For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, we are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

You can reach us at hello@matterwire.io for any question about this policy, and at security@matterwire.io for security matters.

02Data we collect

We collect only what we need to answer you and to run the site. There are 3 categories.

  • Information you submit. Name, work email, organization, role, and the jurisdictions and issues you describe, when you complete the demo or contact form.
  • Attribution parameters. UTM values present in the URL when you submit a form, so we can tell which campaign or referrer brought you.
  • Aggregate analytics. Page views and referrers collected without cookies and without a persistent identifier. We do not build a profile of you across sessions or sites.

03How we use it

Form submissions are used to reply to you, to prepare a demo against the jurisdictions you named, and to keep a record of the enquiry. Analytics are used to understand which pages are read and which are not.

We do not sell personal data. We do not add you to a marketing list because you requested a demo. We do not use your data to train models. Our lawful bases are legitimate interests for responding to a business enquiry and for aggregate analytics, and consent where you have opted into a mailing list.

04Retention

Form submissions are retained for 24 months from the last contact, then deleted. Aggregate analytics are retained in non-identifying form. Mailing list entries are retained until you unsubscribe.

05Your rights

Under the GDPR and equivalent regimes you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to our processing of it, or provide it in a portable format. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Write to hello@matterwire.io and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to your local supervisory authority.

06Subprocessors

We use a small number of processors to run the site and answer enquiries. The current list, with each one’s purpose and location, is available on request.

  • Hosting and content delivery, for serving this site.
  • Cloud infrastructure, for the application and for stored records.
  • Transactional email, for delivering form submissions to our inbox.
  • Privacy-focused analytics, for aggregate page statistics without cookies.

07International transfers

Some processors operate outside the UK and the EEA. Where that is the case we rely on the appropriate safeguards available to us, including standard contractual clauses. Details of the mechanism used for a given processor are available on request.

08Cookies

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics run without cookies and without a persistent identifier, which is why you are not asked to dismiss a consent banner.

09Changes and contact

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects how we handle data you have already given us, contact you directly.
